Actor Jacob Price has avoided jail, despite being found guilty of Class 1 Felony Drug Possession last week. In sentencing, Judge Roberts accepted the defense’s request for 410 Probation, as Mr. Price is a first-time drug offender. Mr. Price was instead sentenced to a court-ordered stay in rehab, 30 hours of unpaid community service, and two years of probation. Mr. Price must check himself in to a rehabilitation facility within two weeks and complete a drug program.
Jacob Price’s fight for custody of his daughter, Olivia, now remains in the balance. A further drug offense would now automatically lead to a custodial sentence. Mr. Price is also barred from associating with former felons, which would include his good friend, actor Ryan Summers.
Jacob Price was visibly emotional in court, and after sentencing attempted to avoid the media. Mr. Price’s lawyer, Rachel Stone of Eagle & Stone LLP, gave the following statement on his behalf:
“I am deeply sorry to my fans. Both for you and for my Olivia, I will beat this addiction. I humbly hope that you’ll accept me back into your hearts once I’m better. I thank the Court for its leniency today.”
